Short version: Some links on this site earn us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra. We only link to products we’d genuinely recommend. Our opinions are always our own.
What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a special URL that tracks whether a visitor came to a product page from our site. If you click a link on Cars & Cars and then purchase the product, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale as a commission. You pay the same price you would have paid without our link. There is no extra cost to you whatsoever.
Which Affiliate Programs Do We Use?
Cars & Cars currently participates in the following affiliate programs:
- Amazon Associates — We link to products on Amazon including diecast models, car accessories, maintenance products, and other items relevant to car enthusiasts. Amazon Associates is a program operated by Amazon.com, Inc. and its affiliates.
- CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) — We may link to products and services through merchants listed on the CJ Affiliate network.
- Additional affiliate or brand partnership programs may be added in the future. This page will be updated accordingly.
How We Choose What to Recommend
We do not recommend products simply because they pay us a commission. Our selection process:
- We only include affiliate links to products that are genuinely relevant to the article topic.
- We do not write fake reviews, inflate ratings, or misrepresent products to drive clicks.
- Our editorial opinions — comparisons, verdicts, recommendations — are never influenced by whether a product has an affiliate link or not.
- If we believe a product has a serious downside, we say so, even if it earns us commission.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is made in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines for endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). The FTC requires that websites disclose any financial relationship with companies whose products they mention. We take this seriously and make our disclosures clearly at the top of relevant articles, in the footer of every page, and on this dedicated disclosure page.
